I understand why people want specific breeds, but I can't imagine ever buying a pet. There are so many homeless animals, rescue one! Maggie came from behind a shopping center, and Scout from the North Shore Animal League, where we also got one of our dogs growing up.
I have already found NYC Shiba Rescue and also Mid Atlantic Shiba Rescue!
